We are super excited to announce FunDesks eco-friendly, sustainable Pop Up Toy Town coming soon.
Kids love toy cars. Zooming, beeping, racing, crashing, parking. Over the years my boys found more creative ways to play with cars, that is they both found more places to become roads, racetracks and towns and usually around the carpet, stairs and in the kitchen.
3 top benefits of toy cars for toddlers’ development.
Playing with toy cars and trucks is a game that begins with toddlers and can endure into the tween years. How is it that small toy cars can capture the attention of both toddler boys and girls and hold it for years? For one thing, toy cars grow with the child. They move from crashing cars together to creative play about where the car is going and why.
We’ve all seen and many of us have purchased a car play carpet and they’ve been great but they have never really improved.
Exposure to STEM Learning
Focus on Fine Motor Skills
Toy cars teach kids about trajectory as they launch their mini cars off a loop-de-loop. They learn about velocity, distance, gravity, weight and so much more. STEM-based education is all about doing rather than watching.
Playing with small toy cars build a child’s fine motor skills. They develop hand-eye coordination and dexterity in both their hands as kids pick up, carry, throw, push and pull small toy cars around.
Children learn through playing. And it’s that play-based learning that builds their understanding (or cognition). They begin to learn about the world and their role in it. They know they get in a car to drive to places.
FunDesks are creating a 3D version of the traditional car play carpet. Kids can create and build their our towns online, choosing the buildings, shops and homes they like from our the list to then play with at home.
Parents can order our buildings, shops and homes individually or as part of a set and we will also have a ‘Wish List’ for parents to share with family and friends who can purchase or add buildings to your child’s town for those special occasions, in much the same way a ‘Wedding List’ is used.
Each building, shop and home is beautifully made from FSC approved cardboard using safe, eco-friendly veg based inks and offers kids a much needed, improved playing experience.
